Community Consultative Committee – Call for Nominations

Nominations are open for appointment of community members to the Winterbourne Wind Farm Community Consultative Committee.

Many State significant projects in NSW have Community Consultative Committees, formed under the direction of the NSW Department of Planning and Environment (DPE).

These committees provide a forum for open dialogue between the proponent and representatives of the community, stakeholder groups and local councils on issues directly relating to the project.

WinterbourneWind is looking for people who live locally or are members of a local stakeholder group (e.g. community, environment, Aboriginal or industry) to join the Community Consultative Committee for the Winterbourne Wind Farm in Walcha, NSW.

Your role as a committee member is voluntary. You will be expected to contribute constructively to committee discussions, attend approximately 4 meetings per year, and communicate information about the Winterbourne Wind Farm project to the broader community.

If you would like to apply to be a CCC representative, read the selection criteria and download a copy of the relevant nomination form at www.planning.nsw.gov.au/communityconsultativecommittees

You can also contact Margaret MacDonald-Hill (Committee Independent Chair) at mmacdonald-hill@bigpond.com for more information.

Applications must be lodged by 30th November 2020 via email to mmacdonald-hill@bigpond.com

We expect the first CCC meeting to be held in February 2021, with the date and time to be determined once the CCC is established.
