Project Status
WinterbourneWind lodged a Submissions Report and an Amendment Report with the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI) in September 2024. The Submissions Report provides responses to public and agency submissions received during the EIS exhibition period. The Submissions Report was prepared in accordance with the State Significant Development Guidelines – Preparing a Submissions Report.
The Amendment Report was on public exhibition from 8 October to 4 November 2024. The exhibition period provided an opportunity for community and stakeholders to review the amended project proposal and make a submission. The feedback to the Amendment Report was overwhelmingly positive, with 70% of public submissions indicating support for the proposed project.
A second Submissions Report has now been lodged which provides responses to issues raised by stakeholders and community during exhibition of the Amendment Report. DPHI will now complete its evaluation of the proposed Project and prepare an assessment report, taking into consideration the EIS, Amendment Report and Submissions Reports. DPHI will then make a recommendation to the Minister for Planning and Public Places, who is expected to refer the project to the Independent Planning Commission (IPC). We expect a determination by late 2025 or early 2026.
